Our first wedding anniversary was last weekend (even tho we’ve been together forever) and we had a super fun getaway to the FAR OFF LAND OF PHILADELPHIA! Mr. Raygun organized an amazing day of food n’ fun which culminated in partaking in the tasting menu at frickin’ MORIMOTO!
That’s right, Iron freakin’ Chef Masaharu Morimoto!!

Look at how serious he is about being awesome. We had the mega awesome tasting menu described as “CHEF’S CHOICE: A MULTI-COURSE TASTING MENU DESIGNED TO ALLOW YOU TO EXPERIENCE THE ESSENCE OF MORIMOTO’S CUISINE”. That wasn’t meant to be in all caps, but really, it deserves it. And we had the paired sake and wine. So I tried to take pics so I could remember what the hell we ate. I didn’t make it very far.

1st course! Tuna tartare with caviar! SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

2nd course Oysters with 4 toppings. Jeez those were so fresh and tasty.

um, 4th course? Delicious fish product! I think it was snapper? Dude, I totally don’t remember.

There was also half a lobster and dessert was this amazing cake thing, but by then we had been served 8 courses with paired sake and wine, soooooooooooooo it’s a little fuzzy. Anyway, it was so amazing and fancy and suck on that people. My husband is goddamn awesome!!

Also, Mac’s Tavern. Co-owned by Mac and Sweet D from “Sunny in Philly”. We had gravy fries that were to die for. I like food. Shut up.

You are hawt and wear crazy clothes. We like that.

One of the fashion blogs I follow posted this George Michael “Too Funky” video clip recently. I remembered it so vividly, the fashion, the style, the attitude. And then Cyborg girl came out. No wonder I’ve wanted to be a robot my entire life! Look at this hot cyborg lady. So I therefore blame George Michael for my life’s goal of wanting to be a Cyborg. Thanks a lot dude.
